This one-day event includes a lunch and focuses on the JA Personal Finance program! Sophomores through Seniors in high school will attend sessions throughout the day on:
EARNING, EMPLOYMENT, & INCOME: Students will relate education and personal interest to career choice plus explore the connection between earnings and personal finance.
BUDGETING: Students will learn about budgeting, expense types and create sample budgets.
SAVINGS: Students will learn the importance of savings, especially the concept of major cost items and emergency funds.
CREDIT & DEBT: Students will learn the implications of credit, debt, evaluate risk and identify outcomes of credit decisions.
CONSUMER PROTECTION: Students will learn about threats to their personal finances and ways to protect themselves by making smart choices.
