2026 Wichita Stock Market Challenge

Featuring: JA Take Stock in Your Future

Through JA Take Stock in Your Future®, students discover the benefits and challenges of investing in the stock market as part of a broader, long-term investment strategy and the risks and rewards of trading. (grades 9-12) The program includes five 45- minute sessions, with additional extended learning activities and optional digital assets offered throughout, including an optional online or site-based JA Stock Market Challenge competition.

When: Tuesday, April 14, 2026

Where: Wichita State University

Time: 9:00 AM CT

Join local high school teams as the compete in a stock market simulation for 2 hours to determine who can turn $1 million into the highest value.

4-person teams
$1 million to trade
60 seconds between trades, each representing 2 weeks of the market
2 hour event represents 3 years of the market
Breaking news events that affect students decisions on stocks
On-floor traders
Registration at 8 am; back to school at 11:30 am
